This week at youth - Living Nativity - Bring your friends!!

Hello all you fantastic Youth!!

This week will be a bit different for us as you all must know the Living Nativity is running all weekend!!  We will be meeting at Harmony Square for 6:50 and watching the 7:00 show together.  After the show ends (around 7:45 or 8:00) youth will officially be over, howver you can feel free to hang out in the square and participate in the other festivities that will be running.  Please be sure your parents are aware that the official youth time frame is from 7-8 and not 7-9 as it usually is.  Be sure to dress appropriately as we will have no access to the church as the cast will be hanging out there!

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE - Next week will be out last week of Youth for 2015...  We will be having our annual Christmas party (with a slight twist).  We are going to do a "Christmas Sock Exchange" which looks like this...

- Go to the dollar store and buy a pair of funky looking sock (MUST BE NEW)
- Fill one of the socks with candy and prizes (spending no more than $10 socks included)
- We will be hanging the socks up like stockings and everyone will pick one during the night.
- You will then get the candy / prizes inside as well as the NEW pair of socks
- We will all wear our new socks and have a great night partying!!

Just wanted to give you all a heads up so it wasn't last minute :)

Last Week of Youth before Summer...

Well, the time has not come... We are heading into the last week of youth before we take a small break for the summer holidays!!  This week will be a great night as we will be meeting out at the Reimer's home (see address below) for a campfire hang out night!! You can feel free to bring your bathing suits as there is a pool there to swim in.  But we will also be playing some great outdoor games, hanging out around the fire and chatting about the exciting NEW Youth Programs we will be running come September...  The night is going to be a great night for all so please make it a point to be there!! Youth Night on the Streets this Friday!

I wanted to invite you guys from "Distinct" out this Friday Night on the streets for Flippin' Friday! It's a unique downtown experience where we serve food, meet "colorful" people and get to share the love of Jesus in a practical way. So here's the plan. Let's meet at Freedom Gate Apartments ( the old Freedom House building... NOT the mall ) at 8:45 in the common meeting area. That's through the fence on the non-parking side of the building. We'll meet as a youth ministry for 15 minutes or so and I'll go over what's going to happen that night and then we'll head upstairs to the apartment of our missionaries Steve Frank and Keith Cripps. We spend the next hour praying and hearing God for what he wants for the night. Then at 10pm... we hit the streets. "Oh No... I forgot the CRANBERRIES" RAK Night

Have you ever been at Aunt Beatrice's house for Thanksgiving and you're just about to sit down at the table for the feast when someone shouts out in horror... "Oh NO... I forgot the CRANBERRIES!!" This Friday Night at Youth... we make sure that this will not happen to homes in Brantford. How? It's RAK Night! We'll be meeting at the Freedom House City Center at 7pm and heading out into town to do Random Acts of Kindness by giving away Cranberries and through it, reminding people that God LOVES them. After... we'll be headed back to the church for some fun and snacks (so bring money for tuck shop!). Make sure your ride picks you up before the mall doors get locked at 10pm! See ya then!
